Our Mission is to provide a compassionate learning environment and instruction in order to encourage and empower extraordinary adults to unlock their potential and to realize an enriched quality of life.
Charlene’s Angels will be the provider of choice for adults with developmental disabilities and be recognized for its compassionate, innovative services and practices on a city, state, and national level.
The purpose of Charlene’s Angels is to develop and mature each “Angel” in order that they might fulfill their purpose and achieve their highest degree of independence.
Welcome!
Last year, Charlene’s Angels assisted over 100 clients from Johnson and nearby counties. Our clients not only receive academic support, but also learn socialization, daily living skills, and community integration, leading to increased independence. We offer Zumba and other exercise classes for those interested, as well as daily community trips to places like the Zoo, Museums, Parks, and Bowling. Additionally, we provide Respite and PAC services for individuals requiring 1-on-1 care.
Charlene’s Angels upholds the core values of CARF, our accrediting body, by following the ASPIRE model: Assess the environment, Set the strategy, Persons served and other stakeholders (obtain input), Implement the plan, Review the results, and Effect change. We strongly believe in a client-driven approach: nothing about them, without them! Charlene’s Angels is truly making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Call or email us to set up an appointment for a tour of our program.
We look forward to your visit!
