Who We Serve and What We Do

Since its inception, Charlene’s Angels has served over 225 clients through our Adult Day Program, Respite Care, and Participant Assistance Care (PAC). Our Adult Day Program is home to over 70 clients with special needs. Our staff ratio is 1:8 for level one clients and 1:6 for level 2. Come check out our program and see if it’s for you!

Charlene’s Angels’ clients travel to various destinations within the community every day.  At present, we possess four vehicles, with an additional one scheduled to arrive this autumn, enabling us to cater to our clients’ transportation needs during their daily excursions. Our drivers undergo comprehensive training to ensure they can safely and efficiently transport our clients.

Our clients have the opportunity to attend special events and listen to guest speakers, while our Angels can enjoy an array of fun and educational experiences. We love exploring our community through trips, including visits to apple orchards and pumpkin patches in the fall. We offer a diverse range of activities for our clients, ensuring they experience the best of every season!

Filling a Need in the Community

In 2012, Charlene Guthrie, the Executive Director of our organization, founded the company to address the lack of support for special needs individuals in the community. We offer a variety of services such as Adult Day Service, Respite Service, and PAC Service, catering to individuals in Johnson and the surrounding counties.
