Our Adult Day Service is open to clients aged 18 and above. Admission to our day program requires a service level of assessment, and we can only accommodate those assessed at levels 1 and 2. Those assessed at level 3 are unfortunately not eligible for our program.
A typical day in our adult day program might involve functional academics, independent living skills, social skills, bible study, exercise, music, arts & crafts, and community-based instruction. The program operates from Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
If our day program is fully booked, applicants will be waitlisted in order of inquiry date. The Executive Director will maintain contact with waitlisted applicants and provide updates on potential availability. When a spot opens, an appointment will be scheduled.
We understand that many participants may require medication monitoring during the day. Trained Charlene's Angels staff can monitor (but not administer) medications, provided the participant or their legal representative has completed the Informed Consent for Medication Monitoring. This form is also required to be updated annually.
Charlene's Angels offers Respite Service (RSPO) and Participant Assistance Care (PAC) to all ages. These services aim to promote independence at home and within the community in Greenwood and nearby areas. While Respite Services cannot be provided when the primary caregiver is at work, PAC Services can be. Our staff works with individuals to enhance various skill sets, including exercise, fine/gross motor skills, social skills, safety skills, self-help skills, leisure skills, and homework assistance.
If we do not have a caregiver available for RSPO or PAC services, the participants will be waitlisted. Charlene's Angels will maintain contact with the applicant and initiate the intake process once a caregiver becomes available.

Charlene’s Angels practices the “Charting the Lifecourse Framework” to help individuals and families of all abilities and ages develop a vision of their good life, identify how to find and develop supports, and discover what it takes to live the lives that they want to live. This allows the individuals and families to focus not only on their current situation but to think of their future.
